Clinical Trial Design
- While significant advances have been made in treating many types of tumors, the treatment of locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic pancreatic cancer remains challenging, with survival measured in weeks and months.6, 7
- Tarceva (erlotinib) plus gemcitabine is the first combination among numerous agents tested since 1996 to demonstrate statistically significant improvement in survival vs gemcitabine alone in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer.6, 8
Indication and Usage
Tarceva in combination with gemcitabine is indicated for the first-line treatment of patients with locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic pancreatic cancer.
